Guy Fieri was born January 22, 1968 in Columbus Ohio. His name was originally Guy Ramsay Ferry but he changed it to Fieri in honor of his great-grandfather, who had changed his surname from Fieri to Ferry upon arrival in America. Fieri had several successful restaurants in northern California but found fame when he won season 2 of "The Next Food Network Star" in 2006, and became host of the show "Guy's Big Bite" and then the highly popular "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives". He has had several other restaurants and TV shows since then.
